Pchealth is a utility that is used to check the status of different programs and tasks running on a computer, identify the errors among them and help to Tune them up to give it a normal working form again. The users should regularly check their system’s Pchealth file as it is automatically created and stored in the C: / drive and keeps on increasing in size. If this utility is running properly, a user’s system will be saved more from the chronic errors.
The Pchealth software collects the system information, like the information about the devices installed in a computer, or the device drivers loaded to run the devices properly. It is also included with tools to troubleshoot your computer system. It can also provide a menu to display the associated system information topics and thus help to diagnose the issues relating to the devices or their drivers running on a computer system.
The system information tracked by the pchealth utility keeps the history of the device drivers installed. So, even if you forget or did not know or remember computer’s most recent history about the tasks performed on it, then this pchealth file will prove helpful to you and give you all the knowledge about the devices and their drivers and also indicates if an update of the drivers is required. To discover what system information is saved in the Pchealth files, any of the following two steps can be followed:
• Click Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Information.
Or
• Click Start > Run. Then type msinfo32.exe in the box opened in Run, and click OK.
The information thus displayed will include:
• Hardware Resources.
• Software Environment.
• Internet Explorer.
• Applications.
• System Components.
On installing an update of the Pchealth from the Windows Update Web site, if it fails to meet the system’s requirements, the user can restore the original files by executing the Update Wizard Uninstall wizard from System Information tools > Tools menu. If the computer works normally but causes problems occasionally, try to restore the previous configuration files and run the System Restore utility again residing in the Tools menu.
However, the files created and saved by Pchealth utility can be deleted from the system because these files do not play any role to stop the system from working. These files can be used to get system information but deleting them will never cause any problem to the system performance.
