TweakUI download

TweakUI is a utility program that enables the users of Windows 9x, Windows NT, and Windows 2000 to modify their desktop, customize the user interface and other system characteristics according to their choice. Its code is written by Raymond Chen. TweakUI also enables to customize the taskbar and the desktop. Microsoft introduced TweakUI as one of the Power Toys for Windows 95 that can be installed optionally. TweakUI allows the user to change the menu speed, the system startup speed by reducing the running frequency of the ScanDisk utility, animation, and some features about Internet Explorer. It also enables the users to change the system registry settings that are not easy to find otherwise.
TweakUI download is available online for free. It is a free application for user interface customization. It also allows the users to change the location of Documents, Music and Pictures folders and other system folders. It can repair contents of the operating system, hot keys, font folder, etc. It is used to disable AutoPlay function on one or more drives. TweakUI is also able to set up Xmouse.
TweakUI download includes control panel applet for download from the Microsoft's website. TweakUI version 2.10 is compatible to run on Windows XP Service Pack 1 or above / Window Server 2003. For the users having Windows XP system without any Service Packs installed, version 2.00 is available.
TweakUI download included with applet was retooled and re-released after the release of Windows XP. Now it is available on the Microsoft website as a separate application "tweakui.exe". This version allows the user to access system settings which are not allowed in Windows XP default user interface. It includes modification of mouse settings, Explorer settings, taskbar settings, and much more system settings and tools
TweakUI download needs upgrading to new versions for better and efficient working. If an older version of TweakUI is installed on the system, go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs and uninstall it. The latest TweakUI is available from the Power Toys collection at the Microsoft website. Double-click the downloaded TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe file and follow the instructions for installation. If TweakUI is not found in the Control Panel, then use the TweakUI shortcut in the Start Menu or run \windows\system32\tweakui.exe. TweakUI is a useful utility by Microsoft and is upgraded regularly. Its latest versions are available for the users to download and get benefit from it.
